Kids on the Move Coordinator (Youth Focus)

The Kids on the Move Coordinator is a movement instructor and administrator responsible for teaching classes for children/youth and overseeing Project Commotion’s (PC) DCYF-funded, VAPA/Healthy Schools-funded services, and PC Movement Classes. The Coordinator delivers classes in PC’s movement-based curricula to preschool through high school students and manages program-related administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of multiple programs. This role combines educational instruction, leadership, and administrative support to contribute to the overall success of the organization. The Kids on the Move Coordinator works across two programs: Schools on the Move, and PC Movement Classes.
Work Schedule
40 hours weekly beginning in August 2026. Some weekend and evening shifts are required, according to event, meeting and outreach schedules.
Salary
$68,640-$72,800 dependent on experience

The Kids on the Move Coordinator is a movement instructor and administrator responsible for teaching classes for children/youth and overseeing Project Commotion’s (PC) privately funded contracts and facilitating Jardín Family Playgroups and Project Commotion Movement Classes. The coordinator delivers classes in PC’s movement-based curricula to infants through elementary aged students and manages program-related administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of multiple programs. This role combines educational instruction, leadership, and administrative support to contribute to the overall success of the organization. The Kids on the Move Coordinator works across three programs: Schools on the Move, Jardín Family Playgroups, and PC Movement Classes.
Work Schedule
40 hours weekly, Tuesday - Saturday beginning in August or September 2026.
This is an in-person position. Occasional hybrid hours may be available as designated by manager.
Salary
$67,600 - $89,856 dependent on education units and permit qualifications
Salaries are determined and supported in part by the Department of Early Childhood’s (DEC) Early Educator Salary Support Grant. Project Commotion qualifies for this support because of compliance with all requirements of Department of Early Care and Education Workforce Compensation Grant.
