The Feldenkrais Method® for Infants and Children at Project Commotion
The Feldenkrais Method for Children brings about improvements in quality of movement, balance, stability, comfort, and coordination, as well as in self-regulation, self-esteem and self-sufficiency. Lessons will explore developmental patterns through a process of discovery and exploration. By supporting the child’s intrinsic desire to learn when presented with clear and safe choices, we create an optimal environment for healthy growth and development.
Individual sessions are available for infants, children, and youth of all ages and abilities. For more information or to schedule an introductory session, please contact Susan Osterhoff, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner CM, at 415-252-8059 or susan@projectcommotion.org. |
The Feldenkrais Method® is based on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais (1904 – 1984). A physicist, engineer and judo master, Feldenkrais combined his expertise and understanding of children, motor development, bio-mechanics and psychology to develop a highly effective approach to help people find ease in movement, and in life.
Functional Integration® (FI) sessions are hands-on individual lessons that use movement and gentle, guided touch to directly address learning through the musculo-skeletal and nervous systems. |
