Collaborations
We collaborate with school groups and community-based organizations for on-site or off-site programs designed specifically for the needs of the group.
For youth we offer: • Individualized programs structured as a series of classes or a 1-time field-trip or site visit. • Activities that promote holistic development through a variety of methods, including small group physical play, sensory awareness, coordination, and rhythm. • Classes may include the participation of parents, teachers, or caretakers, as a means of strengthening relationships and providing experiences and ideas that can be incorporated into children's daily routines. For Parents, Educators and Professionals we offer: • Workshops covering principles of nurture, responsiveness, movement therapy, sensory integration, and brain development. Workshops may be 1-time or series. The goal is to build understanding and knowledge that can be implemented in daily activities. • Sensory integration curriculum development and consultation for schools and youth programs. We believe that physical interaction cultivates support rather than control; when a teacher assists a student with a somersault, for example, both parties are physically involved with the learning process and it fosters a balance of mutual respect that translates into a relationship outside of the traditional classroom setting. Therefore, during our sessions we encourage interactive play between the students and their teachers. These experiences help strengthen the relationships between the children and adults.”
